Crystal
clear, turbidity-free rinse water with the latest generation of green
technology.
|
The
water storage in rinsing and immersion baths or washing/rinsing
machines inevitably is polluted increasingly, on the one hand by the
introduction of pollutants during the rinsing process, on the other
hand by concentration of minerals (rising salinity) through refilling
in order to replace evaporation or carryover losses. In addition, the
open, most often hand-warm baths are subject to severe contamination by
microorganisms from the ambient air. Frequent water changes and
laborious cleaning are the consequence.

Water Treatment (AOP,

LIQUITECH FOM
is a highly porous permanent filter granulate with an active
AOP-coating, which acts oxidizing and catalytic with all substances
entrained in the water.
AOP means that even solutes such as the heavy metals lead, copper and
zinc, as well as iron, manganese, arsenic, etc. are converted into
solids. In addition, all microorganisms such as bacteria, algae and
fungi, are eliminated by the strong oxidizing effect of the surface
coating. With a filtration fineness of 2-3 microns (compared to about
50 microns with filter sand), these impurities are filtered as well as
all other suspended matter, and very high filtration rates of 95-99%
are achieved over the entire pH range.
The oxidizing effect of the material is refreshed in each backwashing
by adding PROTABS OXY in the rinse water, thus remaining unspoiled
throughout the whole service life of the filter granulate.
PROTABS OXY
release so-called Hydroxyl Radicals (OH-groups), whose strongly
oxidizing effect eliminates all sorts of bacteria, legionella, algae,
amoeba, fungi, protozoa and other microorganisms. PROTABS OXY with
their high oxidation potential of 2.8V have a much stronger effect than
most common biocides such as chlorine (1.4V), chlorine dioxide (1.5V)
hydrogen peroxide (1.8V) and even ozone (2.1V). Other than almost every
other biocide, PROTABS OXY leave no disinfection by-products (DBP), and
have much lower corrosive side-effects on metals, plastics and sealings.
PROTABS OXY are not subject to specific labelling obligations, neutral
in handling and non-toxic!

Keeping rinsing and immersion baths clean with the latest generation of green technology.
|
The
final process of rinsing or dipping after workpiece cleaning or
degreasing has to make it. But this final bath, this last rinsing
brings up the decision of when the right time to change the water has
come, because this is where the boundary between a proper or an
inproper painting or coating is located.
Lifetime extension and quality improvement of rinsing baths using the example of a workpiece cleaning system:

Solid material, dispersed and dissolved pollutants and substances from
cleaning baths can eventually also be found in rinsing baths or within
the rinsing water storage, due to carryover. As a result of this, the
rinsing water dulls at a very early stage, leaving its residues even at
the components only recently cleaned. The degree of the rinsing
water’s purity determines the quality of a subsequent painting or
coating decisively.
Only with an active filtration, a constant water quality can be achieved over the bath's entire lifetime.
With LIQUITECH FOM, solids and dispersed pollutants are almost entirely
removed through the extremely high filter sharpness of the filter
granulate. In addition, also dissolved organic compounds (oils, greases
and solvents) are removed through the AOP technology (advanced
oxidizing processes). Due to these filtration and oxidation processes,
the degree of purity of the rinsing bath or water storage is kept
constant for a considerably much longer phase, as well as the purity of
the component surfaces. With the regular addition of the disinfectant
PROTABS OXY, the development of microorganisms will also be prevented
effectively, without introducing any substances into the rinsing bath
that may leave residues on components, as for instance chlorine tablets
do.
To achieve a really optimal water quality, rinsing baths and systems should always be refilled with desalinated water in
order to avoid residues of substances dissolved in the water on the
cleaned parts, especially water hardness. Desalinated water also has a
far greater solvent power than regular tap water, and directly absorbs
displaced substances, so that it is considerably more precisely
possible to determine the right time for a water change with
conductivity metering.

Your way to enduringly clean rinsing water:
|
Integrate a bypass pump circuit with a LIQUITECH
FOM filter into your system. The filter media is regularly reactivated by adding PROTABS
OXY when backwashing. According to system conditions, additional adding directly into the system water is recommended.
The filling armature, according to system conditions and requirements, should be retrofit with a SCALIMEX scale protection filter or a DEWAPURE demineralising filter. |
